About HPSGroup.ie

Independent Irish retrofit, insulation and windows guide. What this site is, what it isn't, and the history of the domain.

What this site is

HPSGroup.ie is an independent Irish retrofit, insulation and windows guide. We publish current SEAI grant data, plain-English decision content, and editorial comparisons of named contractors. We're an editorial site, not a contractor.

What this site is not

The history of this domain

HPSGroup.ie was registered and operated from 2012 to 2025 by HPS Group (Carrigaline, Cork) — the active construction, insulation and windows business run by the Healy family. The current registrant acquired the domain through normal registry channels in 2025 and rebuilt it as the editorial guide described here.

HPS Group continues to trade as an active Cork business under their own canonical web presence and at their Carrigaline showroom. We retain references to them on our editorial pages because we genuinely think they're one of the meaningful Cork multi-measure retrofit contractors, and an honest comparison of Cork insulation and Cork window installers needs to include them. References are nominative editorial commentary — fair use under trademark law.

How we make money

When you submit a quote enquiry on this site, we route the enquiry to a small panel of vetted SEAI-registered Irish retrofit contractors. The receiving contractor pays us a small flat lead fee — typically €25–€60 — only when we've routed a real, qualified enquiry. You pay nothing.

This model has a built-in conflict of interest: we make more money the more enquiries we route. We mitigate it by being editorially neutral on which contractor is "best" — we route based on your county and what you're looking at, not who pays us most.

If you are HPS Group

If you operate HPS Group (Carrigaline) and want to discuss the editorial framing on this site, the references to your business, or the domain itself, please get in touch via the contact page. We're happy to correct factual errors about your service description; we're happy to discuss the domain.
